The School of Textile and Fashion Visits the Fashion Design College of Istituto Marangoni, Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, to Explore New Pathways for International Cooperation

To learn from advanced educational philosophies and enhance the School’s level of international exchange, on November 18, 2025, a delegation of four from the School of Textile and Fashion—Associate Dean Qu Hongjian, Zhou Zhipeng, Head of the Department of Fashion and Apparel Design, faculty representative Du Liying, and Secretary for International Exchange Zhao Yuyao—visited the Fashion Design College of Istituto Marangoni, Zhejiang Sci-Tech University for an exchange and study visit.

Dean Liu Zheng of the Fashion Design College of Istituto Marangoni, Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, accompanied the delegation on a tour of the College’s modern teaching and practice facilities, including specialized draping classrooms, fashion design studios, and photography studios. The two sides held discussions on topics such as curriculum design, practice-based teaching methods, and studio operation and management. During the formal exchange session, they also conducted extensive and in-depth discussions on key areas including the cultivation of internationally oriented fashion design talent, the development of innovative learning models, and collaborative research and innovation.

The advanced educational model of Istituto Marangoni, its distinctive international orientation, and its forward-looking strategic planning—particularly its exploration of the deep integration between technology and fashion—offer valuable guidance for the international development of the School. This visit has laid a solid foundation for establishing a long-term and stable cooperative relationship between the two institutions, while providing new perspectives for the School of Textile and Fashion to further enhance international collaboration and foster a diverse, inclusive academic culture and innovative environment.
