School-Enterprise Cooperation Writes a New Chapter: Joint Laboratory for Electromagnetic Shielding Unveiled to Promote In-Depth Integration of Industry, University and Research

On the morning of November 5, 2025, the signing and unveiling ceremony of the "Joint Innovation Laboratory for Electromagnetic Shielding Textiles" co-founded by the College of Textile and Garment of our university and Shandong Yangxin Hualong Textile Technology Co., Ltd. was grandly held in the Administrative Building of Songjiang Campus. This cooperation marks a solid step forward for both parties in the in-depth integration of industry, university and research as well as collaborative research, opening a new chapter in school-enterprise cooperation.

The ceremony was hosted by Associate Professor Yang Lijun, a cooperative teacher from the university. In his speech, Xin Binjie, Dean of the College of Textile and Garment, stated that the establishment of the joint laboratory is an important measure for the college to promote applied scientific research. He expressed the expectation of jointly tackling key technological problems in the field of electromagnetic shielding through resource sharing and complementary advantages. Liu Chao, Member of the Standing Committee of the Yangxin County Party Committee and Deputy County Mayor, fully affirmed the role of the school-enterprise cooperation model in promoting local industrial upgrading in his speech.

Witnessed by all guests, representatives of both parties—Associate Professor Yang Lijun from the university and Chairman Zhang Zhiguo of Shandong Yangxin Hualong Textile Technology Co., Ltd.—signed the agreement on jointly building the laboratory. Subsequently, Dean Xin Binjie and Deputy County Mayor Liu Chao jointly unveiled the plaque for the "Joint Innovation Laboratory for Electromagnetic Shielding Textiles".

The laboratory will focus precisely on the core key technologies in the field of electromagnetic shielding textiles, committing to carrying out full-chain innovation from basic theory to industrial application. The establishment of the laboratory will not only effectively enhance the university's scientific research strength in the field of functional textiles but also inject new momentum into the innovative development of the textile industry, making positive contributions to the technological progress and industrial upgrading of China's specialty textiles.
