Recently, Master's student Guo Kainan, jointly supervised by Professor Xin Binjie and Associate Professor Ou Kangkang from the College of Textile and Garment, published a research paper titled "Multifunctional Janus nanofibrous membrane with unidirectional water transport and pH-responsive color-changing for wound dressing" in the CAS Tier 1 journal Journal of Colloid and Interface Science (IF=9.4). This achievement provides a new perspective for the design and manufacturing of multifunctional wound dressings. The research team also developed long-acting antibacterial and low-bacterial-adhesion bacterial cellulose dressings using bacterial cellulose as the substrate. Relevant results were published in International Journal of Biological Macromolecules (2024, 269, 132157, IF=7.7) and selected as an ESI Top 1% Highly Cited Paper, showing great potential in promoting wound healing.
Figure A illustrates the unidirectional moisture-wicking smart color-changing nanofibrous membrane and its application in wound repair; Figure B depicts the application of double-network ionic hydrogel in wearable strain sensing and energy harvesting; Figure C shows the use of unidirectional moisture-wicking nanofibrous membrane in the field of seawater desalination; Figure D presents the bacterial cellulose-based low-adhesion long-acting antibacterial wound dressing and its ESI highly cited status.
As a high-level Category D talent of the university, Associate Professor Ou Kangkang has published numerous high-level academic papers. He designed ion-conductive hydrogels for wearable strain sensing and energy harvesting, with relevant achievements published in Composites Science and Technology (2024, 255, 110732, IF=8.3). Using gradient-structured nanofibers as the substrate, he constructed a seawater desalination device equipped with a unidirectional moisture-wicking photothermal membrane, and the related results were published in Journal of Colloid and Interface Science (2024, 656, 474-484, IF=9.4, Back Cover Article).
Associate Professor Ou Kangkang has long been committed to the research on functionalization, recycling and reuse of textile materials. He has presided over or participated in more than 10 projects, including the National Key R&D Program, General Program of Shanghai Natural Science Foundation, and enterprise-commissioned projects. He has won 6 awards such as the Second Prize of Henan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and the Second Prize of Henan Provincial Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award. He has published more than 30 academic papers in journals including Nano Energy, Chemical Engineering Journal, and Journal of Textile Research, and obtained 12 authorized invention patents.
