Students from the School of Textiles and fashion achieved outstanding results at the Sixth National College Students' Green Dyeing and Finishing Technology Innovation Competition

From June 6 to 8, 2025, the offline finals of the “5th National College Students' Green Dyeing and Finishing Technology Innovation Competition,” hosted by the China Textile and Apparel Education Society and organized by Liaodong University (Dandong, Liaoning), were held at the North Campus of Liaodong University.

As a concrete initiative to implement the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress on “promoting green development and fostering harmony between humanity and nature,” the National College Students' Green Dyeing and Finishing Technology Innovation Competition has become a vital platform for advancing textile discipline development and stimulating youthful innovation. The sixth edition, themed “Smart Dyeing and Finishing, Green Future,” attracted participation from numerous universities nationwide since its launch in April. Students from our university's School of Textiles and Fashion submitted a total of 15 undergraduate entries and 5 graduate entries. Following an online preliminary evaluation by the expert panel and a rigorous on-site “presentation + defense” round, our university secured 4 second prizes and 2 third prizes in the undergraduate category, along with 1 second prize and 1 third prize in the graduate category.

This competition not only strengthened exchanges and cooperation between our university and other institutions but also fully demonstrated our students' solid professional foundation and outstanding innovative capabilities. Looking ahead, we encourage more students to actively engage in technological innovation, carry forward the spirit of courageous innovation and pursuit of excellence, and continuously enhance their professional competence and research capabilities.
