2022 Shanghai Textile and Garment Creative Innovation Graduate Academic Forum and 16th Textile and Garment Innovation Forum grand opening

On October 28, the "2022 Shanghai Textile and Garment Innovation Graduate Academic Forum and the 16th Textile and Garment Innovation Forum" jointly organized by Shanghai University of Engineering Science, Shanghai Textile Engineering Society and Shanghai Textile Science Research Institute Co., Ltd. was held in the lecture hall on the first floor of Hangfei Building, Songjiang Campus of Shanghai University of Engineering and Technology. Li Ying, Secretary of Party Committee of Shanghai Textile Science Research Institute Co., LTD., Ma Pingchun, Vice Chairman/Secretary General of Shanghai Textile Engineering Society, Li Yanmei, Deputy Director of Graduate Office of Shanghai University of Engineering Science, Xin Binjie, Dean of School of Textile and Garment of Shanghai University of Engineering Science and Technology, etc., attended the opening ceremony of the forum. Also present at the forum were experts from Shanghai Textile Research Institute Co., LTD., Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts, tutors and graduate student representatives from the Textile and Garment School of Shanghai University of Engineering Science, as well as online off-campus experts, teachers and students.

This forum invited domestic and foreign experts such as Prof. Xin Haozhong from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Prof. Zou Qichang from Tongji University, Prof. Shao Jianzhong from Zhejiang University of Science and Technology and Prof. Wang Invented from Universite Leuven in Belgium to give special presentations. We also invited the chief editors of magazines such as Printing and Dyeing and Shanghai Textile Science and Technology, as well as relevant experts and scholars from Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts to conduct discussion and exchange on "Reform and Development of Shanghai Textile and Garment Creative Industry". In addition, two sub-forums of Textile Engineering & Textile Chemistry & Dyeing & Finishing Engineering, Garment Engineering & Garment Art Design & Industrial Economic Management and the academic exchange activity of Shanghai Textile and Garment Creative Industry were set up. The experts, scholars and postgraduates were enthusiastic and had extensive and in-depth exchanges and discussions, offering suggestions for promoting the creative and innovative development of Shanghai textile and garment industry.

The "2022 Shanghai Textile and Garment Innovation Postgraduate Academic Forum and the 16th Textile and Garment Innovation Forum" has been calling for papers in various ways since July 2022. At the end of the deadline, nearly 130 academic papers were received from more than 30 universities and research institutes, such as Donghua University, Tianjin Polytechnic University, Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, Nantong University, etc. Selected some excellent papers to publish the "2022 Shanghai Textile and Garment Innovation Graduate Academic Forum and the 16th International Textile and Garment Innovation Forum", and conducted exchanges and discussions with domestic and foreign scholars and graduate students, forum events, to gather innovation. It has effectively promoted the academic exchanges between Shanghai textile and garment fashion industry and foreign institutions in related fields and the innovation and development of textile and garment science.

This forum provides a high-level academic exchange platform for domestic and foreign experts, scholars and postgraduates in the field of textile and garment, creates a good atmosphere of unity, harmony and academic contention, promotes academic exchanges among universities and research institutes, between universities and enterprises, and among disciplines, stimulates the academic enthusiasm of postgraduates, expands their international vision, and improves their academic ability. Promote the development of textile and garment graduate education.
