The Institute of Textile and Clothing Held A Special Lecture on "Academic Integrity and Norms for Writing Scientific and Technological Papers"

In order to further shape the integrity of students, improve the academic writing ability of postgraduates, and improve the quality of graduate talent training, the College of Textile and Clothing organized an online special lecture on "Academic Integrity and Scientific Paper Writing Standards" on the afternoon of November 4th. He Yeli and Zhang Yanhui, chief editors of Printing and Dyeing and Shanghai Textile Science and Technology, two core journals of Peking University, were invited to guide and share the topic content. Postgraduate tutors and all postgraduate students participated online. The lecture was presided over by Professor Wang Liming from Textile and Garment College.

It also reminds students how to avoid academic misconduct in the paper writing, which lays a good foundation for the students to carry out a series of postgraduate paper writing.

Combined with the specific review process and situation of Shanghai Textile Science and Technology, chief editor Zhang Yanhui emphasized the problems that students may have in terms of article content, length, format and paper review rate, and supplemented by the recently collected articles as cases to show students the correct format specifications of tables, charts, references and other parts. So that students in these easy to ignore the small problems can be sorted out and corrected in time. In the Q&A session, the two editors gave detailed answers to the questions put forward by the students, and provided simple and popular guidance for everyone with a fresh quotation, which solved the puzzles encountered by many students when writing and submitting articles. In the end, Professor Wang Liming made a summary of the lecture, and together with chief editors He and Zhang, they sent their ardent expectations to the graduate students.
