Shanghai University of Engineering and Technology Textile Science and Engineering Practice Station 7th Outstanding Students Defense Meeting was successfully held

In the morning of November 13, the 7th Excellent Student Defense Meeting was held in the form of online at the Textile Science and Engineering Practice Station of Shanghai University of Engineering and Technology. This time, 15 course students were selected from 120 students to participate in the merit defense. The defense was hosted by Xie Zhixia, Deputy Director of the Practice Workstation Station and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Textile and Clothing. Professor Xin Binjie, Director of the Textile Science and Engineering Practice Workstation and Dean of the College of Textile and Clothing, Professor Ma Pingchun, Secretary General of the Shanghai Textile Engineering Society, Professor Hu Yue, Deputy Director of the Practice Workstation, Li Yong, General Manager and Du Weiping, Director of the Technology and Manufacturing Division of Oriental International (Group) Co. Liang, external supervisors Prof. Lin Lantian and Liu Xiaoxia, senior engineer Gao Cong and other experts inside and outside the university attended the defense meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Hu Yue, the deputy director, introduced the evaluation rules of the defense meeting, so that the students participating in the defense fully understood the defense criteria. Then 15 students defended their own topics in turn. The content of each student's report was rich and diverse, ranging from textile fiber film and plant dyeing to clothing art design, meta-universe, 3D virtual clothing and so on, involving knowledge in various fields such as textile engineering, clothing design, fabric dyeing and finishing. During the defense, the students were quick-witted and eloquent, fully demonstrating the fruitful results achieved by the students after learning and practicing at the workstation.

After the defense, three judges, Du Weiping, Wang Aibing and Liu Xiaoxia, commented on the work of the defending students, fully affirming and recognizing the research results of the students, but also pointing out the shortcomings, and encouraging the students to further deepen their research and continuously improve their learning ability in the future study process. Finally, President Xin Binjie made a concluding speech on behalf of the practice station, reviewing and summarizing the work of the station this year, expressing his affirmation of the students' research results and wishing them excellent results.
