Recently, the finals of the 15th Challenge Cup Shanghai College Students' Entrepreneurship Plan Competition concluded. Students from our school demonstrated innovation and ambition, standing out from nearly 1,100 projects across 66 universities to win 1 Grand Prize, 1 Second Prize, and 1 Third Prize, achieving a 100% award rate.

Notably, the project Jingcai Huansi — Redefining Textile Color with Smart Photonic Crystal Materials, led by undergraduate Hou Jia and guided by Gao Weihong and Zheng Yuansheng, won the Shanghai Grand Prize. Relying on self-developed photonic crystal structural color technology, the project replaces traditional chemical dyeing with physical coloring, reducing printing and dyeing pollution at the source and providing an innovative solution for the green transformation of the textile industry. Additionally, the project Filtering for a New Life — The Return Journey of Textile Chemical Fiber Recycling Waste Liquid, led by graduate student Shi Mengmeng and guided by Xue Haolong and Wang Mengxue, won the Second Prize. The project Durable 'Agent' Membrane — Innovative R&D of New High-Performance Hollow Fiber Composite Membranes, led by undergraduate Huang Yuhao and guided by Wang Chun and Yan Jingjing, won the Third Prize.

The School of Textiles and Fashion has long integrated innovation and entrepreneurship education into the entire talent cultivation process, guiding students to focus on industry frontiers and serve national strategies. During the preparation, the school organized meticulously, and teachers and students worked together, fully demonstrating the students' solid professional literacy and mission to serve the country through science and technology. In the future, the school will continue to deepen science and education integration, inspiring more youths to contribute wisdom and strength to the construction of a textile power and green low-carbon development.
