On the afternoon of April 21, 2026, Ms. Zhao Xia, Business Director of Shanghai Yuancal Technology Co., Ltd., entered the Fabric Structure and Design classroom of the School of Textiles and Fashion and delivered an engaging innovative practice course on the application of Coloro color technology in the field of textile design for undergraduate students majoring in Textile Engineering, Class of 2024.

Ms. Zhao first introduced color-related workflow processes in the textile and apparel industry, covering multiple stages including design, production, batch coloring, and marketing. She then provided an in-depth introduction to Coloro, the application-oriented color system with Chinese intellectual property rights, centering on hue, lightness, and chroma. During the session, students participated in engaging color sensitivity tests and completed exercises on the three elements of color and the nine-color-domain style map. The students demonstrated strong enthusiasm for hands-on activities and showed a certain degree of color perception. Finally, Ms. Zhao introduced the fact that Coloro has been adopted by over 300 leading textile and apparel brands and more than 5,000 supply chain enterprises worldwide, and explained that it is a color application system tailored to real industry needs. She also presented real-world planning cases of Coloro in apparel and home textiles.

The enterprise expert classroom session featured engaging content and rich practical examples, providing students with valuable hands-on training opportunities and helping to enhance their color cognition and application skills.
