In order to further deepen inter-university exchanges, advance the revision of undergraduate talent cultivation programs, and continuously optimize the talent cultivation system for textile and apparel majors, on April 27, 2026, Professor Xin Binjie, Dean of the School of Textiles and Fashion at Shanghai University of Engineering Science (SUES), led a delegation to visit the School of Textile and Apparel Engineering at Soochow University for research and exchange. Vice Dean Qu Hongjian, department directors from relevant fields, program coordinators, teaching team leaders, and selected backbone faculty members participated in the visit.
At the symposium, Professor Pan Zhijuan, Dean of the School of Textile and Apparel Engineering at Soochow University, welcomed Professor Xin Binjie and his delegation, and provided an overview of the school's achievements in discipline construction, program development, and talent cultivation. Vice Dean Chen Ting and heads of relevant departments joined the discussion. Both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on topics including the revision of undergraduate teaching cultivation programs, optimization of professional curriculum systems, design of practical teaching components, cultivation of students' innovative capabilities, and future development directions for textile and apparel talent cultivation.
This research visit further strengthened the communication and cooperation between the two schools, providing valuable references for our school to advance the revision of the new round of undergraduate talent cultivation programs, optimize professional construction layout, and improve the quality of talent cultivation. In the future, both sides will continue to maintain mutual learning and exchange, deepen cooperation in teaching reform, program construction, and talent cultivation, and jointly promote the high-quality development of textile and apparel disciplines and programs.
