In order to further deepen discipline construction and promote in-depth integration of industry, academia, and research, Professor Xin Binjie, Dean of the School of Textiles and Fashion, together with Ms. Zhao Yuyao, International Exchange Secretary, and other members of the delegation recently visited the China International Apparel and Fashion Fair (CHIC) for research and exchange. Through visits to leading international brands, outstanding alumni enterprises, and smart manufacturing companies, the team explored new dimensions of cooperation.

International Vision, Building a High-Level Cooperative Platform. In in-depth discussions with Mr. Riccardo Bilancioni, CEO of the Italian premium fabric brand Marzotto, distinguished alumni and senior fabric expert Mr. Chen Gang and alumnus Mr. Zhu Weiming also participated in the dialogue. The three parties reached a preliminary consensus on establishing a Sino-Italian Joint Research Center and a textile museum, with plans to conduct technical research in areas such as AI-assisted body measurement and eco-friendly material development. Following the exchange, Dean Xin presented the alumni with SUES Cultural & Creative Notebooks, carefully prepared by the university, to strengthen alumni connections and jointly plan for future development.

Green Foundation, Deepening Collaborative Innovation with Alumni Enterprises. At the booth of Zhejiang Jiaren New Materials Co., Ltd., an alumni enterprise, the expert team investigated the chemical recycling technology and reached a preliminary intention to apply sustainable fibers to the school's graduation gown project. The two parties also discussed joint training programs for professional master's and engineering doctoral degrees, aiming to address industry challenges through university-enterprise collaboration.

Smart Manufacturing Upgrade, Aligning with Digital Transformation Needs. The team conducted on-site visits to cutting-edge digital enterprises such as Style3D, exploring the application of 3D technology in the supply chain. Meanwhile, the school reached a research cooperation agreement with Shanghai Dirong Textile Technology Group, planning to carry out robot R&D supported by government matching funds and to implement a 1+2 graduate training model, serving the regional economy through locally cultivated talent.

Achievement Showcase, Demonstrating Institutional Strength. During the visit, the expert team also toured the school's exhibition booth at the China Textile Engineering Society Education Achievement Exhibition. By showcasing the latest achievements in talent cultivation and scientific innovation, the school further enhanced its influence within the industry.
This research visit not only captured industry trends but also advanced the implementation of multiple industry-education integration projects. The school will continue to build an integrated research, production, learning, and application talent cultivation system to support high-quality development in the industry.
